Hiking the state's gas tax now could flatten the tourism industry and blow out budgets for working class families who are already struggling to make ends meet, U.S. Sen. Scott Brown said today in a letter to the governor. "I believe the answer at the state level has to be the same as the federal response: cut spending, don't raise taxes."
